Şirince (meaning sweet or pretty) is an old Rum (Turk of Greek nationality) village. Its historical houses are two storeys high with whitewashed walls, windows with wooden shutters and beautiful courtyards. Şirince village is found on a slope which is lusciously green and shows that the village deserves its given name. Known as the house of the wine of god ‘Dionysos’, this pension is one of these pretty little village houses. Guests can enjoy a village breakfast that is unique to the region in the pensions beautifully green garden as well as a ion of various local cuisines, which is available in the evenings. The wife of hospitable manager Ismail is in charge of the cooking and puts a lot of hard work into preparing delicious meals for the guests. The pension is open throughout the four seasons and has a fireplace to use during the winter months. The rooms have been beautifully furnished with authentic objects. The pension has a lovely view of the village and is the ideal place for a family holiday.

The terrace houses are composed of Zeytinli (Olive), Incirli (Fig) and Asmali (Vine) Houses, and they absolutely smell of history with a unique architecture, antique details, and marble showers. The special local sofa brought from Mardin, the doors brought from the Black Sea, aged mansion closets and family heirloom antique bed frame are the mosaic pieces of the historical texture. The sections of the house include comfortable elements such as the fireplace that blows hot air in the winter and a sound system. This 19th century Sirince stone villa that Omer and his wife Charlotte have is great for archeological excavations, nature walks and romantic vacations.

It is managed by a family who believe in that customer satisfaction is everything. İlkan and his brother Üzeyir, members of Gülgün Family, which is a well-known family in Şirince for generations, have contributed a lot for the fame of the Kırkınca Houses. The mansion houses, wonderful rooms, perfect terraces, restaurants and cafes in which you can always hear the music have emerged with their effort. Mürver Syrup, a taste that you will never forget, welcomes you at the door, in the hands of Ms. Dilay (wife of İlkan). You can feel yourself as living within your family. You can also enjoy the narrow streets, delicious wine and hospital people of the village, offering a legendary environment. The houses of the facility, all of which are historical Greek Houses, have been decorated according to specific motives of history. For instance, the Stone house, by the St. Dimitrius Church, can accommodate only two people. It is a village house with its own yard and kitchen tandoori. Yedi Uyuyanlar Cave, Ayasuluk Castle, Virgin Mary House, St.Jean Church, Hadrianus Sanctuary, Celsus Library, İsabey Mosque, Efes Antique Theatre are all places you should visit during your holiday here.

In their Pension that reflects a culture and etiquette influenced by Western values, Sedef and Vedat Tuncer decorated each and every corner of the house with interesting objects. An old Dutch oven in the entrance, the wine meticulously kept and offered across from a fireplace, and their cute dog Sherry who watches all that goes on and occasionally joins in the talk, they all seem to fit inside an antique picture frame from a museum. There is no knowing for how many thousand years Mrs. Tuncer is preparing those delicious homemade jams and gorgeous breakfasts in her kitchen. You are lucky if one of the four rooms is available.
